Zoya Zia

Producer, Writer, and Community Engagement Lead

Zoya Zia is a writer, researcher and human rights specialist with international experience measuring social impact and developing youth-centric community programming. Her research examines how cultural exchange, including arts and sports, can offer dynamic pathways for reconciling history, identity and belonging. She has designed tools for assessing lived experience in Mexico City, Bangkok and most recently, London, where she received her Master of Science in Human Rights. Having first joined the Institute for Diversity and Civic Life as an intern in 2017, she now serves as a Board Member. She is committed to sharing diverse perspectives of and about Texas and the South.
